You can exclusively charter our luxury yachts, sunseeker powerboats or speedboats (RIBs) and enjoy any sailing event in style.

Merchant Yachting can offer you a range of unique sailing opportunities:

  • Relax and watch the racing ‘track side’
  • Whet your appetite for the exhilaration sailing offers and learn some of the skills needed to race with speed and finesse
  • Enjoy fine dining and exquisite wines whilst being looked after by our professional crew
  • If you go ashore, for example during Cowes Week, the carnival atmosphere really rolls into town: great cafes, al-fresco dining, top class restaurants and the famous Guinness beer tent complete with the longest bar in the world.
  • Take in the famous Friday night fireworks, aerial displays and much more.

What’s included – Sunseeker Portofino 53 (56ft luxury motor yacht) & RIB (8 metre rib powered by 225HP)

  • Exclusive use of Sunseeker and/or RIB
  • Continental breakfast and buffet-style lunch onboard

  • Assistance with onshore arrangements if required, such as restaurant bookings, hotels, marina passes etc.

Suggested itinerary

  • Arrive at Hamble / Southampton or direct at Cowes to board your yacht and meet your skipper
  • Soak up the pre-race excitement onboard whilst enjoying a fresh continental breakfast
  • Depart with the race crews ready for a top view of the start-line action
  • Learn some of the sailing skills used by the professionals
  • Relax over a freshly prepared lunch taking in the spectacular sights
  • Follow the fleet around the racecourse culminating in a close up of the finish line
  • Return to Cowes late afternoon. Freshen up onboard and skip in to your glad rags ready to go ashore and soak up the party atmosphere
  • Party into the night in the famous Guinness tent with live music every night
  • Having been safely accompanied back to your yacht, finish the day with a night cap under the stars before turning in for the night. A good night's sleep will ensure you're well rested and ready for the next day's sailing adventure.


As a guide, an exclusive charter of a Sunseeker with a professional skipper and mate / hostess will cost £3,500 per day (for up to 10 guests)
(Please note, if the Friday is your preferred choice and you wish to stay for the fireworks, an additional £500 will be charged.)

As a guide a RIB with a professional skipper, for up to 8 guests, for a full day charter will cost £850, for a half day will cost £650 and thrill rides (2 x one hour slots) will cost £600.
