Manches Cup 2012

The Manches Cup is one of the largest events in the sailing calendar, and is the main sporting, social and networking event for the legal sector.
The Manches Cup is a 3 day event open to competitiors of all levels of experience and crew from all areas of the legal community.

JP Morgan Round The Island Race 2012

The annual J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, organised by the Island Sailing Club, is a one day yacht race around the Isle of Wight. The race regularly attracts over 1,700 boats and around 16,000 sailors, making it one of the largest yacht races world-wide.

Cork Week 2012

Since the first event in 1978, the biennial Cork Week has become a major regatta in the yachting calendar. Renowned for the eclectic mix of classes, exhilarating racing, and not forgetting the fantastic craic of the Irish hospitality, this is one event you don't want to miss!
Merchant Yachting can provide a full race campaign including fully race prepared yacht, race entry, wet weather gear, training days and accommodation. There is even an option to join the delivery across the Irish Sea for those that want some extra miles and experience.

J-class Regatta

"The 1930's era saw the birth of the Js - one of the greatest sailing classes ever created"
Only 10 yachts were built during this time and there were never more than four racing at one time. Only three of the originals survived the Second World War - Velsheda, Endeavour and Shamrock V. These were left to rot in mud until being renovated and rebuilt. Since the formation of the J Class Association, there are now replica yachts being built, creating a fleet of the finest racing yachts ever seen.
The Royal Southampton Yacht Club will be hosting the Solent Regatta, a three day race programme showcasing the spectacular J class yachts. On the fourth day, the yachts will participate in the Hundred Guinea Cup Race, sailing clockwise around the Isle of Wight, the original course of the 1851 Hundred Guinea Cup, now known as the America's Cup.
The event will be the very first time more than four of the spectacular classic yachts will race together and promises to be one of the best events of the 2012 season.
Merchant Yachting are offering you the opportunity to see these fantastic yachts up close as they race around the Solent. Full hospitality packages include a day on one of our yachts, led by a professionally trained skipper, and a gourmet picnic hamper on board giving you ample opportunity for watching the racing and taking some great photographs.

AAM Cowes Week 2012

Since 1826 Cowes Week has been a key fixture in the yachting calendar. It now stages up to 40 daily races for around 1000 boats and is the largest sailing regatta of its kind in the world.
Now know as Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, the event offers a fantastic mix of exhilarating sailing and onshore entertainment.

Little Britain Challenge Cup 2012

Starting in 1988, the Little Britain Challenge Cup has grown to be the largest sailing regatta in the UK after Cowes Week. The event is open to anyone within the construction industry and provides three days of exhilarating sailing followed by plenty of evening entertainment, all whilst raising money for charity.
Merchant Yachting will organise every detail for you including, a racing yacht complete with professional skipper, branding, clothing, accommodation and evening entertainment. Be sure to book early though as this event is very popular.
